THE BRIEF

Precision object mapping is the art of digitally "wrapping" a physical form in light. This study was a dedicated technical exploration into the geometric complexities of the Captain Stonefish flagship, Wilma. The goal was to demonstrate how bespoke content can be tailored to fit the intricate contours of a vehicle's outer shell, effectively turning a static object into a dynamic, glowing sculpture. Using advanced mapping software, we aligned high-output projectors to match the van’s unique 3D silhouette. By treating the vehicle's shell as a blank canvas, we were able to run synchronized visual textures that followed the physical flow of the bodywork. This proof-of-concept highlights the versatility of our workflow; whether it’s a bespoke car, a complex product design, or a multi-story building, we have the technical capability to skin any object in a custom immersive narrative. With our latest hardware and software upgrades, the level of detail and luminance we can now achieve in object mapping is truly world-class.
