Audio Reactive Trees

THE BRIEF

A new projector brings new creative horizons. This installation served as the maiden voyage for a bespoke, off-grid projection rig designed to push the boundaries of what is possible in remote environments.

THE EXECUTION

The challenge was to create a high-fidelity, audio-reactive experience that was entirely self-sustaining. The system is powered by a custom roof-mounted solar array that harvests energy throughout the day, storing it in a high-capacity lithium-ion battery bank to fuel the evening’s visual choreography. As night falls, the forest canopy is transformed. Using advanced signal processing, the trees are mapped and manipulated in real-time, pulsing and breathing in perfect synchronization with the live audio. The result is a living, glowing ecosystem where technology and nature merge—unplugged from the grid, but fully connected to the sound.
